Originally from the Languedoc, grandson of a vigneron, and now vigneron himself, Thierry Rodriguez cut his teeth working for the large wine houses before affirming his expertise in the heart of Le Prieuré Saint Sever, which he created in 1993. His knowledge of the terrain and of blending techniques, combined with his passion for the region has made him a renowned creator of crus.

His experience from the creation of the brand with respect to origin and the terrain has united more than 20 producers around his conception of handcrafted wines with subtle character. His selection reflects the wines in the south of France from the Pyrenees to the Côtes du Rhône with a strong influence from crus of the Languedoc.

His Mas Gabinèle has been awarded numerous international medals and received reviews from influential guides such as the Guide Hachette des vins de France and the Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate (94 for the "Rarissime" rouge 2011).

In addition, with his oenologist friend Jean Natoli, Thierry Rodriguez has reinvented forgotten grape varieties, like his incredible Grenache Gris vinified in white. He creates original cuvées, often identifiable with the terrain, in limited editions.

Seduced by the originality and modernity of his cuvées, his wine is sold to buyers from all over the world, including Russia, Japan, Korea, Hong-Kong, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom …

The Prieuré Saint Sever is an attractive roman chapel from the 11th Century, and which has been in the same family since 1872, and which now houses Thierry Rodriguez’s range of wines.
